Why we built it
Most "best tools for business" lists online are written by people who earn a commission on every tool they recommend — so the incentive is to recommend more tools, more expensive tools, and tools that pay higher commissions. The result is lists that overwhelm new business owners and send them to the wrong tools for their situation.
Stackwise was built to fix that. The ranking algorithm weights business-type fit most heavily. Commission value is the least-weighted factor. A free tool will always rank above a high-commission paid tool if it is the better fit for your situation. That is not typical in this space — and it is the reason the recommendations are actually useful.
